Thanksgiving ~ Day 22

My little Gracie is growing and changing so much. It is so much fun watching her interact with her sister more and more. Sometimes it is squeals of frustration because Hannah has taken something that Gracie wanted, but other times it is squeals of delight as she chases Hannah down the hallway... well, chases might be a little fast for what she does, but she is moving her little legs as fast as they can go in the direction that Hannah was last seen heading.

She also imitates Hannah's drama. When Hannah is frustrated with something her dad or I have said, she runs off yelling down the hall into her room shutting/slamming the door behind her (I didn't quite expect this until 13). Recently, when Gracie is frustrated with hearing us say "no," she yells, waves her hands in the air, and trots down the hallway. She just stands there, because she only sees Hannah running into the hallway and doesn't realize that Hannah completes the journey by going into her room. Gracie's actions make us smile even as we realize we have two little drama queens.

Tonight, we had gotten the girls down from the dinner table. Hannah had gone into the bathroom to wash her hands and when she came out, Gracie walked right up to her and gave her a big hug (which Hannah actually returned). Then they walked together with their arms wrapped around each other. It was very cute.

Today I'm thankful for two sisters who are becoming friends.
